Clients can receive personalized updates by opting into your campaigns with their phone number for SMS notifications. They can also update their preferences anytime through the Client Portal.
Create an Opt-in Field
Before the opt-in feature can be used, you'll first need to create the field.
To create the opt-in field:
- Open the platform.
- Click Settings.
- Click Client & Contact Info.
- Click Add Contact Field.
- For Field Type, select Opt-in for campaigns.
- Enter a field name.
- Check the Send campaigns only to opted-in clients box.
- Click Add.
Client Side Opt-in Update
Clients can review or update their SMS opt-in status anytime through the Client Portal.
To update the opt-in status:
- Go to the Client Portal.
- Click the menu icon

- Click the My Account hyperlink.
- Click Profile.
- Check or uncheck the opt-in box as needed.
- Click Save.
How to Enable SMS Consent for Clients
SMBs can find a transactional SMS consent checkbox in the platform when creating or editing a client through the Client Card.
- Open the platform.
- Click Clients.
- Select a client from the list.
- Under Contact Information, click Show more.
- Under Communication details, click the edit icon

- Check the opt-in box.
- Click Save.
Enable Transactional SMS
To get appointment reminders and confirmations by text, clients need to opt in to SMS messages. When booking, they’ll see a checkbox to agree to receive texts and it must be selected by them, as it can’t be checked by default. If they skip this step, they won’t receive any SMS notifications. Clients can also opt in later through your intake forms or by updating their preferences in the Client Portal.
